MY HAPPY HOME

In the previous post, I talked about the Aguilar Extreme Adventures. But do you know that even as we went home we also had another adventure, or misadventure as one of my cousins put it. See, we had a flat tire at Ampayag. Just after we went down from Dahilayan. Well, actually, on our way going there, we met this truck that slipped on the slippery, muddy road, and going up was so tasking for us already. Our van was able to go up, but the other vehicle had to be left behind. Anyway the ride to Zipzone was the one used by its passengers to go up. So we all made it and we had fun.

On our way down, we were running flat and of course there was no way for us to stop because we may cause traffic and we didn’t want that. So we continued until we stopped finally at Ampayag, on the road that curb on the path of the pineapple fields. It was dark and cold and rainy at that, but we had to do something. We had to take the bolts and nuts on the rims to change tire. But guess what? It was locked so hard our tools can not make them turn. We were there doing the tires and many passers by have already tried helping us, including Mr. Benjie Paras, Manong Ronel and a guide from the Zipzone, and a lady who was going up (I forgot to get her name), who apparently were our saviors that night. Thanks to all of them we made it home.. We arrived at Xavier Estates at 11 p.m. and the party continued as we watched our videos of the day’s events…
