MY HAPPY HOME

It’s been more than a month already after the TS Sendong tragedy that wiped out villages and left a number of people homeless, and some have relatives and family members dead or missing. So heartbreaking that one could only sigh. Thankfully, there are so many people who are helpful enough to victims and survivors, even when they are complete strangers.

Now, apart from homes, schools and school children have been tremendously affected. A lot of students and teachers have lost their school materials, school paraphernalia and even uniforms. However, some schools have given their students the much needed help especially on school supplies and uniforms. For the public school studnts, however, though help from international organizations have been handed down through various government entities, it is still the help from the private sector that had been visible. On our part, we are lucky the school gave some school supplies and some uniforms, though we had to take care of the photocopies of books and buying the shoes and new bag for my little brother. If it was an online degree that they took, well, I am sure we’d be buying a new laptop to be used. Good thing they are yet in grade school, lol..
